New Dak??

I'm sure the question that a lot of people have their minds made up about and the question that people are getting really tired of hearing. How will Dak fare in the 2025 season? Also, Will this finally be the season where he leads the team to the super bowl? We will dive into that a little later, but the Cowboys OTA's and their media day had Dak donning a new look that he has never shown before.

From 2016 to around the middle of the season in 2018, Dak Prescott featured a no-sleeve uniform while playing. People have been begging for Dak to go back to this look, because during the time he had no sleeves, he apparently ran more and used his legs more often. In my opinion, its a bunch of superstition and really just a bunch of bull. During the 2017 season, Prescott posted 22 TDS with 13 INTS, one of his worst seasons to date. And for most of the start of 2018, Dak looked average at best. The only time where he really looked like a star qb while having no sleeves was in 2016, when he posted a impressive 23 TDS with only 4 INTS and led the Cowboys to the divisional round.

However, ever since week 10 2018, when he went up against the eagles in their own stadium, he ditched the no-sleeve look and put on sleeves. The Cowboys won the game 27-20, and Prescott had a decent night, nothing to gloat over but nothing to be disappointed about. Onwards from that game, he has worn the sleeves and never looked back. His abilities as a passer and his passing stats skyrocketed. In 2019, he had the most passing yards in the league and the Cowboys were number one offensively. The Cowboys continued their offensive hot streaks in the years prior. I'd argue that the best version of Prescott has either been him in 2019, or him in 2023. It would've arguably been 2020, had Prescott not gotten hurt.

Now he has a one sleeve look, even though I don't believe in superstitions, but maybe this could be a sign of Dak combining the best of his abilities with his appearence. Or maybe he'll have a terrible season, who knows?
