What's next for the Mavs?

The Dallas mavs have gotten off to a really shaky start, sitting at 14-24 and at the bottom of the west not even a full season removed of taking their championship roster apart. Questions have started to circulate about what do with the Mavs. With the departure of Harrison, the Mavs seem to be stuck in neutral so what's next for the Mavericks?
Even if many of us disagree with the Luka trade, at least we saw and we knew that the Mavericks had a direction under Nico Harrison. At least we had a plan for the future and with a little bit of luck from the lottery and getting Cooper Flagg, it seemed like maybe the Mavericks could salvage something. That has not been the case, you can chalk it up to a bunch of factors such as first year Cooper, still with unneeded players like Klay Thompson and Derrick Lively/Dwight Powell, Kyrie not being in the lineup. However the reality is what the reality is and the reality of the situation is that the Mavs are not a good team right now. That's not to say they don't have young talent in Flagg, Williams, and Max Christie with PJ Washington still being a very good player.
So, that begs the question, what's next for them? Well, they need to consider moving Anthony Davis or Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis probably for the best. Kyrie is older and coming off of massive injury, Anthony Davis's time here has been filled with injuries. And it really sucks because the Mavs are a much better team with him in the lineup than without, but the Mavs should seriously consider biting the bullet and moving on from the painful memories of this past year. Anthony Davis has sustained 18 injuries since joining the Dallas Mavericks. He has yet to even be on the team for a full year. Management and coaching should consider moving Davis for a good haul while the time is right to build assets around Cooper Flagg, but what exactly are those assets.
Draft capital of course, but the Mavs need shooters. Cooper isn't Luka, the Mavs are a great team defensively, but offensively they have been struggling. That's because with the subtraction of Kyrie, and the inconsistiencies with Davis and the other scorers, the Mavericks haven't been able to generate much offense outside of cooper being their primary scorer. They rank under 25th in the league in offense at the moment, a stark contrast of where they were a couple of years ago.
Losing Luka sucked, losing that championship window sucked, but it's time to move on from that era and focus on the development of Cooper Flagg and the team around him. He may never be Luka Doncic, but he can become the best version of himself that he can be, and we can put the best team around him this trade deadline or this coming off-season.
