What a difference a year can make for you, George Pickens was the talk of the town during the pro bowl. No secret the reciever is set to hit the free agency this year without a deal from Dallas, although it is very apparent he and Dallas will attempt to get a deal done. But that hasn't stopped the other teams at all.

At the pro bowl, Pickens was heavily questioned by stars of other teams such as ex-Cowboy Micah Parsons and some other players from the Broncos, Bears, and others. It seems after one year after his departure from Pittsburgh, Pickens's reputation has switched from diva, locker-room cancer, and an unhealthy player to somebody that teams want on their squad.

Well this just in, as I'm mid-writing this, George Pickens was franchise tagged by the Dallas Cowboys, so everything I said about teams poaching him and attempting to get him to leave Dallas is out the window. It seems like some urgency was had, especially after the pressure other guys tried to put on him in the pro bowl. From Parsons' friendly banter to Sutton and Nashawn Wright buddy-buddying Pickens. It seems like Dallas was ready to get this situation over. It's nice to see Dallas not drag this situation like they did in previous years, leaving to unnecessary issues like overpaying and players straight up leaving. Safe to say, the Dallas just retained one of their most impactful players and their offense is ready to go for next year, well, just missing a productive right tackle.
